Álvaro joined the firm in February 2017 as Of counsel of the Litigation Practice, as an expert in insurance law, where he has extensive experience, in particular in life insurance, liability insurance and pension plans.

Having previously headed the Litigation practice of the law firm Ferreras Abogados for 23 years, he is a specialist in litigation law, having defended the interests of companies in a wide range of sectors, in particular the development/construction, publishing, industrial, food, electronics and finance sectors.

He also has experience as a lawyer on the Organising Committee of the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. In such capacity, he was responsible for the creation of different companies for the organisation of the Olympic Games, for the contracting of sponsors and suppliers of sports equipment and for the registration and protection of trademarks and intellectual property. He also contributed to the drawing-up of a strategic plan for the purchase of insurance policies.
