Experience

Alfonso has more than 17 years of experience both in the public sector as Government Lawyer (Abogado del Estado) and in the private sector.

During his extensive professional career, Alfonso has been Director-General of Legal Services and Secretary of the Board of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores), Secretary of the Governing Committee and Head of the Legal Department of the FROB (Fund For Orderly Bank Restructuring), General Secretary of BMN and Corporate Director of the Legal Department of Affiliates and Associated Businesses of Bankia. He has been a director and secretary at different insurance companies -Caser, among others-, and consumer finance firms.

Before joining Ramón y Cajal Abogados he worked for the investment fund Cerberus Capital Management.
